RecyBEM collected 2.4 million tires in the first quarter of 2022

The numbers for tires from the alternative marketplace for the first quarter of 2022 have been launched by RecyBEM.

RecyBEM takes a glance again at a quarter in which the amount of recyclables collected elevated. In the first quarter of 2022, the Netherlands gathered 2.4 million end-of-life automotive tires from the alternative market.

According to RecyBEM knowledge, licensed collections in the Netherlands nearly matched the file set in the first quarter of 2020: in 2018, 2019, and 2021, round 2.2 million used tires had been collected in the first quarter, however in 2020, as in the earlier quarter, round 2.4 million discarded tires had been collected from the 10,000 garages, tire corporations, and municipalities that take part in the RecyBEM system.

All end-of-life tires had been recovered from the alternative market by RecyBEM collectors, both instantly or not directly through suppliers from all garages and tire corporations. Part of the motive for the spike in 2020 was a large clearance at companies throughout the Covid-19 disaster. The present enchancment may very well be attributed to elevated demand for tires because of this of financial enlargement.
